What is your job title, and what does it mean?
Director of e-Commerce Services which means I am in charge of managing our clients’ portfolios of products on all e-commerce platforms on which they sell their products. Our main focus is Amazon and Walmart and we are continuously searching for additional outlets to promote our clients’ products.
What is your favorite part about working for Flying Cork?
I would definitely have to say the supportive atmosphere and the freedom to understand what the objectives are and go achieve them by experimenting and testing out new strategies and theories along with tried and true recipes for success. It makes every day at least a little bit different than the last, and it means there is always something new to learn.
What is your most memorable commercial that is not from Flying Cork? Why?
I have a tendency to like ridiculous humor, so the Jack Links “Messin’ with Sasquatch” commercials always stand out to me as super funny and memorable
First job or weirdest job you have had?
My first job was when I was 11 years old and a local greenhouse/nursery hired me to pull weeds from their landscaping for a few hours a day a couple days a week. Looking back, it was definitely a questionable setup, but the ‘90’s were a weird time
What has been your favorite project at Flying Cork?
My favorite project has been getting approvals and setting up our clients to branch out and sell on additional e-Commerce platforms which has helped create brand new revenue streams that didn’t exist for them previously.
Favorite thing to do in Pittsburgh?
I’m relatively new to the Pittsburgh area, and much of my time here as been during Covid, so I haven’t had as much opportunity to explore the city the way I’d want to, but I have been blown away by how good the restaurants are and how much there is to do with our young kids. It seems like there is always something family oriented going on in the community which has been awesome.
Besides working at Flying Cork, what are your Top 3 life highlights?
- Working with my amazing wife on raising our two incredible daughters
- Earning a scholarship as a walk on member of my D-II college golf team
- Getting to spend a lot of time abroad as a teenager and through my early twenties to see how the rest of the world lives, appreciate the things that make living in the US unique and wonderful, and also develop an open mind about how we can do things better
Dream vacation?
With my family, I want to do a full Disney experience at Walt Disney World. On my own, I’d like to go to the British Isles and play all the British Open golf courses (and maybe a few others).
Favorite meal?
Thanksgiving dinner.
What is a Cork Popping Moment you’ve experienced while working at Flying Cork?
We have helped all of our current clients achieve meaningful and often times exponential year over year revenue growth while keeping advertising spend in check.
